Senior Services
The Senior Centre is a focal point in Winkler and surrounding district providing opportunities for persons 55 plus to experience a positive and dignified retirement lifestyle in their community.We provide services that engage the whole person including sport, community, volunteerism, personal wellness, and meals.
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (Summer Hours 8:00am - 4:00pm)
Our purpose is to ensure that seniors in the community are made aware of and are provided access to services that assist Seniors in maintaining their independence. A place where Seniors and Caregivers can find resources and information to assist them in caregiving decisions and issues. We continue to expand our services to meet the needs of the aging population.
We offer: E.R.I.K. - Emergency Response Information Kits ($2.00 suggested donation) Referrals for Footcare, Transportation, Housekeeping Medical Equipment Rentals Assistance with filling out various forms Check in Calls Health & Safety Promotion Please contact the office @ 204-325-8964 for information regarding availability of services and / or possible Fee for Services. The Main Purpose of the Congregate Meals and the Meal on Wheels program is to serve the needs of a population of older adults in our community and provide a well-balanced meal at a reasonable cost.
Congregate Meal Program - at Winkler Senior Centre and Cedar Estates 5 day a week noon meal program, Monday to Friday - 12:00 Meals on Wheels - meals cooked at Winkler Senior Centre 3 day a week noon meal program, Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
We deliver within the City of Winkler Limits as our kitchen and volunteer drivers’ capacity limits permit. Delivery between 11:30am and 12:30pm
