We have a drop-in space that is open Monday – Friday and offer a variety of programs year round. We work closely with the Winkler & District Food Cupboard and Cafe 545 Community Meal as we believe food brings people together! We are a hub that can help connect community members to the resources they’re needing.
Are you needing help with accessing community resources and supports? Our community advocates are here for you! Come in during Advocacy Office hours and ask to speak with us.
Tuesdays 10am - 12pm & 1pm-3pm

Central Station Community Centre took over the property management duties for the Central Community Homes units beginning in January of 2018. Additionally, we have taken on the management of the 65 Manitoba Housing units in Winkler as of August 2018.
The Social Housing program provides low-income Manitobans in the greatest need with subsidized housing. Manitoba Housing and Central Community Homes have a limited supply of rental properties and therefore applicants are housed based on core housing needs. This includes affordability, suitability, and adequacy of your current housing situation.

Central Station is once again offering its Community Action Training program, equipping community members with the skills to advocate, navigate local systems, and take leadership on issues that matter. This free 10-week course runs from April 3 to May 29, 2025, meeting every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Priority registration will be given to individuals with lived experience of poverty, injustice, or inequality, but the program is open to anyone in the community who wants to gain practical knowledge of local resources and social systems. Participants who attend at least seven of the ten sessions will graduate with a certificate and a special graduation lunch.

THE PANTRY
COLLABORATION WITH WINKLER FOOD CUPBOARD & CENTRAL STATION
The Pantry is an open shelf system where Winkler & District residents facing food insecurity can come in and supplement their food supplies.
No interview or appointments required. Patrons can visit once a day when it is open. Everyone is required to bring their own bags/bins. A max of 10 patrons are allowed in the pantry at one time.
Where does the food come from? Food is received from local grocers and other food distributors. The pantry will be stocked with items that don’t get used in the food cupboard program. This program emphasizes food with past best before dates that is still safe to consume.
What will be available? Items will vary. Because we are receiving donated products, sometimes packages are damaged. All products we put on shelves meet Food Banks Canada Guidelines.
